2019 Go Red for Women Chair
Stites & Harbison
It has been an honor to serve as Chair of the 2019 Go Red for Women Event. Too many still die of heart disease and stroke very year. Too many I know and too many that you know. Young, old, and in between, too many broken hearts. If I have learned anything this year it is that heart disease is personal for each and every one of us, but that we can make a difference. We can make a difference by opening our hearts and giving generously of time and resources. We can support the great research in our communities and elsewhere that is making a difference in prevention and survival. Together, we can, and are, making a difference.
I personally want to thank my firm, Stites & Harbison. The firm’s support, both through its sponsorship of this event and of me in my time as chair, has enabled me to devote time to this year’s event.
There are many others to thank for the success of this event starting with the staff of our local American Heart Association and to the members of the Go Red Executive Team. Of course, no thanks would be complete without thanking our national sponsor, CVS and our local cause partners CHI Saint Joseph Health and Passport Health Plan for their generous support.
With your attendance and generous support at Go Red for Women, we can mend some of those broken hearts and prevent more in the future. Working together, we can do our part to save mothers, grandmothers, daughters, babies, sisters, friends and others in our lives. Through education, advocacy, and lifestyle changes we can improve our lives and the lives of those we love and who love us. Hope to see you there! Go RED!
